The Italian Government, already with the 2004 Finance Law, provided for the recognition of 100% Italian products. Promindustria Spa, delegated by the Institute for the Protection of Italian Producers, developed a voluntary certification through the 100% MADE IN ITALY CERTIFICATE mark.

CERTIFICATION
The Institute for the Protection of Italian Producers has drawn up a specification, under which companies that produce entirely in Italy can obtain certification and therefore the possibility to use the related distinguishing marks.

PROCEDURE FOR CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF ITALIAN PRODUCERS

To enhance Italian productions, the Institute designed a certification system called 100% Original Italian Quality "MADE in ITALY CERTIFICATE", through which producers distinguish their productions from those of doubtful Italian origin, giving consumers certainty about origin and quality.

Today, following explicit requests from certain luxury artisan companies that produce entirely by hand, the Institute enriched the 100% original Italian quality specification, issuing an appendix with a new distinguishing mark called "HANDMADE IN ITALY".

By obtaining certification, the company will be registered in the NATIONAL REGISTER OF ITALIAN PRODUCERS; moreover, using the distinguishing and anti-counterfeiting marks of the Handmade in Italy Certificate, it will be able to communicate and guarantee to customers and end consumers, incontrovertibly, the Italian origin of the product.
